Posse Guest Names and Contact Information:

Our guest allowance is determined by a minimum quota of attendees required by the camp and also on the maximum number of Scholars and Guests our charted buses can accommodate (112).

As we receive registration forms online, we will tally the number of guests invited and Posse Scholars will be notified if additional guests will be allowed – on a first come, first serve basis.

All scholars may invite 2 guests each.

Where to Meet:

Posse members and guests meet in front of Branscomb Quad by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020.

Buses load at 5:00 p.m. and depart for the YMCA by 5:30 p.m. SHARP!

 

Items to bring:

Toiletries (Shampoo, Toothbrush/Paste, Soap, Personal Items), Sleeping Bag or Bed Roll, Pillow, Towels, Sheets, Warm Clothing, Music, Snacks.

 

Meals are provided, but please notify us of any food allergies.

Notify Makayla Anderson at posse@vanderbilt.edu, if a guest cancels and you want to invite someone else in their place, if you have questions concerning housing accommodation, or if you want to invite a faculty member.

YMCA Rules

  • The following rules apply to all individuals and groups (each a “Participant” and collectively, “Participants”) participating in any camp program, event or any activity at the Camp Widjiwagan Joe C. Davis YMCA Outdoor Center (the “Camp).
  •    Participants are not permitted to bring or in any way cause to be brought any of the following items onto Camp property: Pets, drugs in any form unless prescribed by a licensed physician; firearms, ammunition; flammable liquids; explosive or poisons.
  •    Alcohol and Drug use is prohibited.
  •    Participants must ore-arrange all fires with the YMCA guest services department. Participants must contain any fires within the approved fire rings.
  •    Participants may not smoke in any Camp building or program area. Participants must properly dispose of all cigarette butts.
  •    Participants must pre-arrange any swimming, canoeing, kayaking, or other activity that requires the use of any body of water on or adjacent to the camp, and the required number of YMCA lifeguards must be present for the duration of any such activity.
  •    Participants may only park vehicles in the parking areas designated by YMCA staff.
  •    Participants may not nail, staple, fasten or otherwise install decorations, signs or banners to YMCA property in any way which may cause any damage to YMCA property.
  •    Camp does not provide accident or medical insurance for Participants.
  •    Participants must abide by the YMCA’s behavior expectations. Participants engaging in disorderly or inappropriate behavior may be removed from the YMCA’s premises at the YMCA’s discretion.

Participant Liability Waiver & Photo Release

 

In consideration of myself and/or my minor child being allowed to participate in the activities and programs of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee ("YMCA") and to use its facilities (whether owned or leased), equipment and machinery, I do hereby waive, release and forever discharge the YMCA and its officers, agents, employees, volunteers, representatives, directors and all others from any and all responsibility or liability for injuries or damages resulting from my participation (or my minor child's participation) in such activities or programs or my (or my minor child's) use of such facilities, equipment or machinery, even if such damage or injury results from a negligent act or omission.

 

By signing below, I agree that the YMCA may photograph or videotape me and/or my minor child and the YMCA may use those photographs or video footage for its marketing purposes. I release the YMCA from any claim or liability related to that use, and waive all claims for myself, my heirs and assignees against the individual staff persons and the YMCA of Middle Tennessee.

 

By signing below I acknowledge that I understand and agree to the YMCA liability waiver and photo release stated above. This liability waiver and photo release is intended to cover my current and future participation at the Joe C. Davis Outdoor Center.
