For 25 dollars give a child a Holiday season to remember.

As the holiday season nears, VSG is proud to announce the start of our annual Angel Tree Gift Drive!

By registering to “adopt” a child, you can make a difference in the life of one of about 400 Nashville kindergarteners who may not receive gifts otherwise this holiday season. After signing up, you will receive a list of gifts your child is hoping to receive this holiday season.

We request that you spend $25 on gifts for the child you have adopted. Gifts should be wrapped and can be dropped off on Thursday, December 6th in the SLC Ballroom Meeting Room 3 from 8 am to 5 pm. We’d also love to have you come celebrate with us at the Angel Tree Holiday Party on December 7th in the SLC Ballroom from 10 am to 12 pm!

The Office of Traffic and Parking is working with Angel Tree again this year to waive ANY TYPE of parking citation -- up to $50 may be waived. For example, a $100 ticket for parking in a handicapped spot may be reduced to $50.

Typically, citations average $40 so not only is participating in Angel Tree a cheaper option than paying your fine, but you also get to help spread a little holiday cheer! Anyone who currently has an open citation (or receives one between now and December 1) will be able to participate in the program. One parking citation may be waived per student, NOT per children adopted!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Angel Tree co-chairs Sherry Chen (sherry.l.chen@vanderbilt.edu) and Adriana Ocon (Adriana.l.ocon@vanderbilt.edu). With your help, we will make this year’s Angel Tree celebration an unforgettable experience for inner-city Nashville children!
