Volunteers for Health

About

Volunteers for Health (V4H) is a service organization dedicated to bringing an interactive health curriculum and education to elementary school students. In the Metro Nashville Public School District, health class is not required to be taught, thus paving a road for us to provide that education. About four times a semester, groups of 3-4 volunteers visit elementary school classes to teach health topics including sickness prevention, healthy eating, and mental health. Check out our website for more information:https://sites.google.com/view/volunteersforhealth/home

A member of V4H has the opportunity to be a general member within a group of 3-4 other volunteers or a group leader.

V4H provides Vanderbilt students the opportunity to give back to Nashville and lessen health disparities.

If you would like to join, please email Gina Yu (gina.l.yu@vanderbilt.edu) with your updated Protection of Minors training.
