University Counseling Center

About

The Vanderbilt University Counseling Center is located at 2015 Terrace Place. It has served the Vanderbilt community since 1949, (known to the community at that time as the University Counseling and Placement Center) when it was located in the “basement” of Kirkland Hall.

The Center offers a range of services to Vanderbilt students including individual and group psychotherapy, psychiatric services, alcohol and drug assessments/counseling, and LD/ADHD assessment. For the Vanderbilt community, we offer outreach, workshops organizational consulting, crisis manegement and more.

The UCC functions also as a training facility. Each academic year, graduate practicum students, pre-doctoral interns, post-doctoral psychology residents and psychiatric residents are chosen to train at the Center. They receive supervision from our staff of licensed psychologists, psychiatrists and other professionals.

To make an appointment or to obtain further information about our services, please contact the Center at 615-322-2571. (If on campus, call 2-2571).
