Join the Turner Family Center for Social Ventures for a lunch discussion with Dr. Tim Jones, the State Epidemiologist at the Tennessee Department of Health. This event will kick off the TFC’s Trek to East Tennessee, where students will meet with companies
and community organizations engaged in rural poverty alleviation, especially around education and the opioid epidemic. Dr. Jones is responsible for the state of Tennessee’s public health surveillance and outbreak preparedness efforts and led Tennessee’s efforts
to combat prescription drug addiction.
All are welcome, not just those participating in the Trek.
