Shade Tree Clinic Fundraising Committee
About
The Shade Tree Fundraising Committee is a Vanderbilt Medical School student organization responsible for planning and promoting the annual events that fundraise and raise awareness for the Shade Tree Clinic. The Shade Tree Clinic is our student-run, non-profit clinic that serves the community by providing free medical care to underserved and uninsured Nashville citizens. These fundraising efforts serve as the primary sources of income that comprise the clinic’s annual budget. This committee is composed of Vanderbilt Medical School students and Vanderbilt Nursing students, and is advised by VUSM faculty. This year the committee will work to build upon the success of previous Shade Tree fundraising events (including the Trot and the Benefit), which annually raise over $200,000 for the clinic.
This organization is only open to current VUSM MD students.
