Description

Join us for a walking tour of the underground utility tunnel that is used to distribute steam, electricity, natural gas, and telecommunications across campus. Due to the depth and normal conditions in the tunnel, you will get wet during this tour. We will be walking in several inches of water from underground aquafers that were found during the boring of the tunnel. WEAR OLD OR WATERPROOF SHOES. And, as always, wear your mask. Each participate will receive their own flashlight that they can keep.

The tour will be led by Dr. Dan Morgan, Assoc. Dean of Arts & Sciences, and Mitchell Lampley, Director of Engineering and Tech Support.

Check out this recording of a previous tunnel tour to get an idea of what you will experience: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pid2jmWpYcM

The tour start location will be shared with those who RSVP.
